Job summary

ePropelled, Coventry Innovation Centre, seeks an Engineering Technician – Mechanical to support the design, development, assembly, testing and validation of innovative products. You will work with mechanical, electronics, electro‑magnetic and manufacturing engineers to build prototypes and troubleshoot systems, contributing to the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience assembling and testing mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Support development, assembly and testing of new prototypes.
• Build and maintain mechanical prototypes, fixtures and test rigs.
• Assist with design verification and validation activities.
• Assemble precision components and electromechanical systems.
• Conduct performance, durability and environmental tests.
• Install instrumentation and sensors for data collection.
• Record test results and maintain documentation.
• Read engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Support fabrication, machining and fitting of components.
• Ensure health, safety and lab procedures are followed.
• Keep workshop and lab organised and safe.
