About the role

We are recruiting 2 High Intensity CBT Trainees for the Talking Therapies Services at Newham Talking Therapies (NTT). The role is part of a one‑year full‑time post‑graduate diploma course at Royal Holloway.

Who can apply

Applications are invited from qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychological Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychological Well‑Being Practitioners.

Training and responsibilities

Trainees will undertake the PG Diploma in High Intensity CBT at Royal Holloway, spending two days at university and three days in service working with clients with a range of difficulties. The training programme consists of three days working within a Talking Therapies service and two days at university taught by experts in the field.

Application process

Shortlisted candidates will be offered an interview early January 2026 with our service, and successful candidates will receive a conditional offer of employment. Conditional offer holders must have an academic meeting with Royal Holloway staff in mid‑January.

Requirements
  • Psychological Well‑Being Practitioners must have two years post‑qualification experience at the start of the course (March 2026).
  • Candidates who have already undertaken High Intensity CBT IAPT funded training are ineligible.
