Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking reliable Class 2 Day Drivers for shifts in Haydock. Competitive pay (£17.93/hour) with weekly wages and 55-week inclusive shifts. Opportunities for ad hoc 1–3 day/week work and 10–12 hour shifts. Full training provided.

Safe driving, punctuality, and professionalism are required. Weekly pay and 24/7 support are offered. Roles involve multi-drop deliveries, paperwork, and digital logs, with a focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 licence (C+E/C) and CPC & Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• ADR/LQ experience preferred.
• Weekly pay and regular shifts are offered.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles for scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Perform a variety of transport tasks, ranging from general haulage to Pallet Track deliveries/collections.
• Ensure the timely and accurate transportation of goods to their destinations.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and digital logs accurately and promptly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues identified.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.
• Length of shift is up to 12 hours and minimum 10 hours paid per shift.

Pay Rates: Including holiday pay Days

Class 2 Day Driver

• Hours: 06:30 16:30 approximately
• Rate: £17.93 per hour
• Multi drop deliveries and associated Class 2 driving duties
• Full training/induction provided as required
• Based on a 55 week inclusive of breaks.

***Estimated weekly pay £986.15 based on 55 hrs***

Class 2 Day Driver (Ad hoc)

• We also require drivers for ad hoc shifts to earn extra money to work 1-3 days a week.
• 10 12 hour shifts

The role

Requirements

You must have:
