Job summary

FedEx Express UK Transportation Limited in Rotherham seeks a fully skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering Team. You will service and maintain the fleet, ensure safety and compliance, and prepare vehicles for MOT testing.

Shifts are mornings and afternoons, 40 hours per week. Base pay is £21.70 per hour with premiums for evenings (£2.33) and night hours (£2.82).

Qualifications

• Fully skilled with LGV C&E licence or equivalent.
• City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent in commercial vehicle repairs.
• Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and maintenance of FedEx fleet to planned schedules.
• Complete service, inspection records and defect reports.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
• Carry out ad-hoc vehicle repairs and rectifications.
• Maintain safety and correct use of tools and equipment.
• Adhere to housekeeping and company policies.
