Job summary

Enva in Linwood is seeking a HGV Trade Driver for a 5am–3pm dayshift (Sun–Thu), 45 hours with overtime eligibility. You will safely operate allocated routes, focusing on timely, professional, and customer-centric service.

The role demands a Class 2 LGV licence, CPC, and a proactive, flexible, self-motivated approach to responsibilities and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, hazards, accidents and incidents promptly for investigation.
• Carry out daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report accidents, vehicle defects and breakdowns.
• Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between locations.
• Ensure compliance with Duty of Care by inspecting waste and completing transfer notes; sheet loads securely.
• Use handheld device and obtain customer signatures as required.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare standards per company policy and risk assessments.
• Keep driving cab clean and tidy.
• Assist in coordinating work to maximise efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Job description

We are recruiting a HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 5am to 3pm, Sunday-Thursday, 45h with eligibility for overtime

In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
