Job summary

Biffa Waste - Eversley Depot is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to maintain and repair our extensive fleet, from light vans to 44t articulated assets. The role focuses on vehicle and waste-handling equipment maintenance to meet DVSA and health and safety standards.

You will perform scheduled servicing, participate in overtime and on-call rotations, and benefit from a joining bonus of £1,500, a competitive £22.13 p/h rate, shift allowance, and generous holiday plus pension.

Qualifications

• Full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Technician level qualification relevant to HGV/PSV.
• Car/van driving licence required; HGV licence desirable.
• IRTEC qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste handling equipment per DVSA and health & safety.
• Carry out scheduled preventive service and maintenance inspections.
• Work with a diverse fleet from light vans to 44t assets.
• Overtime and call-out availability.
