Job summary

Biffa Waste - Milton Keynes Depot is seeking an HGV Technician. Salary is £22.13p/h plus shift allowance and a £10.00 p/w tool allowance. Shift patterns are 5am-2pm or 10am-7pm, with overtime and call out availability. Monday to Friday (45 hours/week).

You will maintain and repair vehicles and handling equipment to meet DVSA requirements. Please note the role requires full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or City & Guilds/NVQ, a driving licence, and ideally an HGV licence. IRTEC desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have a full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or equivalent (City & Guilds/NVQ).
• Valid car/van driving licence is required; HGV licence desirable.
• IRTEC qualification desirable; DVSA standards knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HGV vehicles and waste handling equipment to DVSA standards.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service inspections and maintenance.
• Work across a fleet from vans to 44t assets with opportunities to learn and develop skills.
