Job summary

Biffa Waste Services in Bromborough is seeking an HGV Technician to maintain and repair vehicles and waste handling equipment in line with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. You will perform scheduled preventative servicing and inspections across a diverse fleet from light vans to 44t articulated assets.

The role offers a joining bonus of £1,500, a 20.59 per hour base rate with shift allowances, and opportunities for upskilling and career development within a historic UK waste

Qualifications

• Full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or City and Guilds/NVQ qualification.
• Technician level.
• Must have a minimum of a car/van driving licence.
• HGV licence desirable.
• IRTEC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet operator’s licence commitments.
• Work across a diverse fleet from light vans to 44t articulated assets.
