Job summary

Biffa in Glasgow is seeking an HGV Technician to maintain and repair vehicles and waste handling equipment to DVSA and health and safety standards. The role covers a diverse fleet from vans to 44t assets, with early and late shifts and overtime opportunities.

A joining bonus of £1,500 is available and the team offers training and progression as you grow with us. Candidates should hold a Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or equivalent, a valid driving licence, and be prepared for on-site work at the

Qualifications

• Fully skilled with Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship qualification or equivalent
• Technician level qualification demonstrated
• Minimum car/van driving licence held
• HGV licence desirable
• IRTEC qualification desirable

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management equipment to health and safety DVSA requirements
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections for operator's licence commitments
• Work across diverse fleet from light vans to 44t articulated assets

Education

HGV/PSV apprenticeship or City & Guilds / NVQ

Technician level

Full driving licence
