Job summary

Biffa Waste Services Milton Keynes Depot is seeking an HGV Technician for a fast-paced workshop role. You will maintain and repair a diverse fleet and ensure compliance with health and safety and DVSA requirements.

The role offers a joining bonus of £1,500, a shift pattern of 5am-2pm or 10am-7pm, and overtime opportunities. A full UK driving licence and relevant HV/PSV qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled having achieved a full level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship qualification/City and Guilds/NVQ.
• Technician level.
• Must have a minimum of a car/van driving licence.
• HGV licence desirable
• IRTEC qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet operator's licence commitments.
• Work with a diverse fleet from light vans up to 44t articulated assets.
