Job summary

Biffa Glasgow Depot is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to maintain and repair our fleet, from light vans to 44t assets, and to perform preventive maintenance to meet DVSA and operator licence requirements. The role involves early and late shifts, 45 hours per week, and a joining bonus of £1,500.

Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or City & Guilds/NVQ, have a driving licence, and preferably an HGV licence or IRTEC qualification; formal training and progression are

Qualifications

• Fully skilled having achieved a Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship or City & Guilds/NVQ qualification.
• Technician level qualification.
• Must have a driving licence (car/van) as a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety and DVSA requirements.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet operator’s licence commitments.
