Job summary

Kautec Recruitment is seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician in the Greater Manchester area for a Monday to Friday day shift (8am-5:30pm), totaling 45 hours per week. The role offers a salary up to £46,000 per annum with pension, sick pay and holidays, plus free on-site parking.

You will service a variety of tractors and trailers, including gritters and EV vehicles, with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance (preventative) on HGV tractors and trailers.
• MOT preparation and associated checks.
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards.
• 6 (or 8) weekly inspections.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics inspections.
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections.

Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician living in the Greater Manchester area looking for a workshop based role? The role of the HGV Technician:

You will be working on a variety of tractor and trailer units of differing makes and models, including gritters, RCV's Refuge vehicles, Diesel and EV vehicles.

The type of work as an HGV Technician you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to):

• Routine (and preventative) maintenance
• MOT preparation
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
• 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections

Requirements for this HGV Technician position:
