Job summary

Stockport Nub News in Stockport is hiring an HGV Technician for night shifts (7pm–7am), 4 on/4 off, on a permanent full-time basis. You'll service a varied fleet of tractor and trailer units and perform inspections and maintenance to keep operations smooth.

Ideal candidates are fully qualified (City & Guilds or NVQ) with EV or IRTEC qualifications desirable. The role offers a competitive salary up to £52,000 p/a plus overtime and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance.
• MOT preparation.
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards; 6 (or 8) weekly inspections.
• Improvement of vehicle standards.
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections.

The Role Of The HGV Technician

You will be working on a variety of tractor and trailer units of differing makes and models, of differing ages and possibly the odd tanker. You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet and you can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment.

Requirements For This HGV Technician Position
