Job summary
Kemp Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a Manchester depot. You will diagnose, service and repair a mixed fleet of Mercedes, Iveco and Ford commercial vehicles in a well-equipped workshop.
In addition to a competitive salary (£41,614) and a £1,500 joining bonus, you will enjoy 25 days’ holiday (rising to 30), bank holidays, birthday off, training leading to Master Technician status, overtime at enhanced rates, free onsite parking and pension.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Hands-on experience with HGVs or LCVs in a workshop or fleet environment.
- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
- IRTEC training beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Carry out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on HGVs and specialist commercial vehicles.
- Work with brands such as Mercedes, Iveco and Ford.
- Ensure all work meets safety, compliance and quality standards.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and roadworthiness.
- Be part of a supportive, experienced workshop team.

You will be working on an internal mixed fleet of commercial vehicles from Mercedes, Iveco and Ford. - Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a variety of HGVs and specialist commercial vehicles
- Working with industry-leading brands such as Mercedes, Iveco, and Ford
- Ensuring all work is completed to high safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections and ensuring roadworthiness
- Working as part of a supportive and experienced team within a well equipped workshop
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Hands-on experience working with HGVs or LCVs in a workshop or fleet environment
