Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is actively seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established fleet maintenance company based in the Frome area for a full-time, permanent role. Excellent overtime availability and paid training accompany a 40-hour Monday–Friday schedule.

The successful candidate will service and repair a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles in a modern workshop, with opportunities for progression into supervisory roles for those who excel.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV technician with detailed knowledge of modern commercial vehicles.
• UK driving licence held and valid for driving HGVs.
• Industry-recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) preferred or time-served equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertake vehicle service, maintenance and repair on internal fleet and third party vehicles.
• Work on a mixed fleet including tractor units, rigid trucks and some trailers.
• Adhere to safety standards and complete work in a purpose-built workshop.

HGV Technician opportunity

My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to be based out of a depot in the Frome area to work on a full-time permanent basis.Excellent ongoing training and career progression opportunities into a supervisor for those that want it as company are expanding. All overtime paid at 1.5 X, 40 hr working week Monday to Friday with no weekends.

HGV Technician duties

Working in a purpose built, well equipped workshop, the successful HGV Mechanic will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service, maintenance and repair on an internal fleet of vehicles as well as third party vehicles

You will be working on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles to include tractor units, rigid commercial vehicles and some trailers

HGV Technician qualifications / Experience required

• In order to qualify for the role, the successful Technician will ideally have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) in heavies or be time served
• You must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles
• Hold a full UK driving Licence
