Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic for a permanent role in Melling, Liverpool. You will service and repair heavy vehicles, diagnose faults with modern equipment, and ensure warranty procedures are followed.

The position offers a salary up to £60,000 per annum, a comprehensive employee benefits package, and clear opportunities for career progression within a growing business. Monday–Friday dayshift, permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic/Fitter is essential.
• Own tools required.
• Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• A full UK driving licence is required, Class 1 or Class 2 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Diagnosing faults efficiently using the latest diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
• Following warranty procedures throughout the repair process and completing all relevant documentation accurately.
• Identifying and reporting any additional vehicle defects to ensure the highest standard of work.

As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.


• Diagnosing faults efficiently using the latest diagnostic equipment and repair methods.


• Following warranty procedures throughout the repair process and completing all relevant documentation accurately.


• Identifying and reporting any additional vehicle defects to the Workshop Controller to ensure the highest standard of work.

To be successful in this role as a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter, you should have:

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
