Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited is seeking an HGV Technician for a Bolton workshop. You will inspect, service and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles, including HGVs, Trailers and Vans, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

The role offers a company van, fuel card and overtime paid at 1.5x, with no weekend working. Mon-Fri days, a supportive team, and opportunities to develop skills in a well-equipped workshop.

Qualifications

• NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications in HGVs.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with HGVs, trailers and vans.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle inspections on HGVs, trailers and vans.
• Completing MOT preparation work and presenting vehicles for DVSA testing.
• Undertaking HGV repairs, service and maintenance.

The Role as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer
We are a well-established independent commercial vehicle workshop based in Bolton and are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified technician seeking a varied role within a friendly, supportive business where quality workmanship and customer service are highly valued.
You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing and repair of a wide range of commercial vehicles including HGVs, trailers and vans.
As a benefit you will receive a company van and fuel card, all overtime paid at 1.5X and no weekend working
