Job summary

Kautec Recruitment is seeking a fully qualified HGV Fitter/Mechanic/Technician for a Mobile field role based in Maidstone, Kent. You will travel within the Kent area in a fully equipped van and perform preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and pre-arranged servicing for a variety of HGVs.

The role is Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, typically 6am–6pm, with salary up to £55,000 depending on experience. A valid City & Guilds/NVQ and other licences are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV fitter/technician with City & Guilds/NVQ preferred.
• IRTEC or EV qualification desirable, as would HGV licences (Class 1/2) but not essential.
• Willingness to travel within a designated Kent/Maidstone area.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance on a variety of HGVs.
• Emergency breakdown support and on-site servicing.
• Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites.
• Engine work and diagnostic investigations.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics checks.

Job description

Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter, HGV Mechanic or HGV Technician living in the Maidstone area looking for a Field Service job? Regional role covering the Kent area. Monday to Friday role. 45 hours per week, Between 6am and 6pm. Salary - Up to £55,000, depending on experience.

The role of the Mobile HGV Technician:

You will be travelling within a designated area and have use of a fully equipped van. You will be working on a variety of vehicles, from tractor and trailer units, to RCV's, sweepers and gritters.

We are looking for a self-motivated and independent HGV Fitter, Mechanic, Technician who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area conducting:

• Preventative Maintenance
• Emergency Breakdowns
• Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
• Engine work and diagnostic investigations
• Hydraulics and pneumatics?
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections?

Requirements for this Mobile HGV Technician position:

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable, as would an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence but not essential.
