Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced HGV Technician in Maidstone to service, maintain and repair heavy goods vehicles within a professional dealership workshop.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, follow manufacturer guidelines and complete thorough maintenance records, with a rotating shift pattern and strong emphasis on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Strong background in heavy goods vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience with commercial vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
• Knowledge of MOT preparation, safety inspections and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out HGV servicing, routine maintenance and vehicle repairs.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Completing preventative maintenance inspections and vehicle safety checks.
• Preparing commercial vehicles for MOT tests and completing rectification work.
• Repairing faults across engines, transmissions, braking systems and suspension.
• Following manufacturer guidelines and dealership workshop standards.
• Completing accurate job cards, inspection sheets and maintenance records.
