Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain workshop hygiene and organisation, including oil spills and dust.
• Assist diagnosis and plan repair procedures with the team.
• Record detailed repair and maintenance histories.
• Complete warranty claims and relevant documentation accurately.
• Carry out wheel alignments and tyre fitting.
• Ensure timely completion of work within timeframes.
• Provide excellent customer service with documentation and reports.

Duties

• Performing major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles
• Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintaining workshop hygiene and organisation, including managing oil spills and dust
• Assisting diagnosis and planning repair procedures with team members
• Recording detailed repair and maintenance histories
• Completing warranty claims and relevant documentation accurately
• Carrying out wheel alignments and tyre fitting as theHGV Technician
• Ensuring timely completion of work within specified timeframes
• Providing excellent customer service by preparing necessary documentation and reports

Requirements

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• At least 1-2 years of practical experience post-qualification preferred
• A strong team player with high-quality workmanship
• Motivated and able to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
• Ability to meet targets and follow health and safety procedures as theHGV Technician
• HGV driving licence is highly desirable but not essential
