Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician in the Aviemore/Inverness area. You will conduct diagnostics, service and repair a range of commercial LGV/HGV vehicles, with a focus on safety and quality.

This days role offers PAYE, umbrella or LTD options and requires an apprentice-trained technician. You will work across engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical systems, using fabrication, welding, soldering and schematics where needed.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance & repair or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.

• Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing.

Responsabilités

• Conduct routine inspections and comprehensive diagnostics on HGVs to identify faults.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
• Utilise fabrication, welding, soldering, and schematics to carry out specialised repairs or modifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and forklifts to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of work carried out, parts used, and repairs performed in compliance with company standards.
• Ensure all work adheres to health & safety regulations and industry standards.
• Assist with vehicle assembly or modifications as required, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and vehicle condition.

Questech Automotive Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Council client for an experienced Vehicle Technician.

This is a days role and can be PAYE, UMBRELLA OR LTD.

Salary from £25ph for PAYE candidates and £37ph LTD

We are looking for Technicians/mechanics from a Commercial, HGV, PSV or LGV background.

You will be an apprentice trained, fully qualified Technician that has experience working with a variety of LGV or HGV vehicles

ROLE
