  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar heavy vehicle repair role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections on HGVs, identifying faults and defects.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing necessary repairs.
  • Service vehicles and carry out preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOTs in accordance with DVSA standards.
  • Record work completed, parts used, and diagnostic information accurately.
  • Perform road tests to verify repair success.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards within the workshop.
  • Support team members and assist with workshop tasks as needed.
  • Communicate repair findings clearly to customers, ensuring excellent customer service.

Duties of the HGV Technician
