Job summary

James Lewis Recruitment seeks a skilled HGV Technician/Mechanic/Fitter for our client’s Immingham workshop. This permanent role offers £45,000–£55,000 OTE in a long-established commercial vehicle dealership group, with Monday to Friday shifts in Immingham.

You will perform planned maintenance, diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and inspections (MOT, tachograph). Time-served with City & Guilds/NVQ3 preferred; valid licence and own tools preferred.

Qualifications

• Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred).
• Proven experience repairing and maintaining trucks and components.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Own tools preferred.
• Valid driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing on trucks and trailers.
• Fast and accurate diagnostics and fault finding using diagnostic tools.
• Mechanical and electrical repairs, working independently.
• Vehicle inspections and compliance checks (MOT, tacho, etc.).
• Final checks on completed work.

Shift: Monday to Friday, rotating 7:00am - 4:30pm and 11:00am - 8:30pm
