Job summary

A HGV Technician role at Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Erith is seeking a skilled professional to join a busy service centre focused on quality service and safety standards.

The position offers an early shift from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, with overtime paid at time and a half, plus weekend rotation on Saturdays. You will perform major and minor repairs, routine maintenance, and roadside emergency services as required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI qualification in HGV vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence relevant to the vehicle classes worked on.
• Proven experience in heavy vehicle repair, diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and other commercial vehicles.
• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance, including oil changes and tyre rotations.
• Maintaining workshop inventory and ensuring a safe, clean working environment.
• Assisting diagnosis and planning of repairs in collaboration with colleagues.
• Keeping detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
• Providing roadside emergency repair services as required.
• Completing job paperwork and warranty claims accurately, escalating issues where necessary.

Duties of the HGV Technician:

- Full UK driving licence relevant to the vehicle classes worked on

- Proven experience in heavy vehicle repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting

- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
