We are currently supporting a family-run automotive commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southern England in recruiting a highly skilled and experienced HGV Technician for their Bicester location. Duties of the HGV Technician:
- Perform all service and maintenance work to the highest standards on heavy goods vehicles within specified manufacturer timeframes
- Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions
- Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations to optimise workshop productivity
- Ensure all work complies with relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Document diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and service activities accurately
- Provide professional customer service by maintaining high-quality work standards
- Support the workshop team in achieving operational targets and customer satisfaction
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Optional participation in roadside call-out rota and overtime shifts
Requirements of the HGV Technician:
- IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Practical experience working with heavy goods vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills with attention to detail
- Proactive, motivated, and able to work well within a team environment
- Ability to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop setting
- An active HGV driving licence or IRTEC accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential
