Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for our Doncaster operation. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs across Scania and other brands, on a 4 on 4 off schedule with day or night options.

The workshop operates 24/7 with emphasis on safety, DVSA standards, and uptime targets. Competitive pay up to £24 per hour plus annual bonus and benefits; a strong team environment and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV Technician or similar role in heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills to identify issues quickly.
• Experience working on HGVs and trailers across brands.
• Desirable qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete inspections and safety checks to DVSA standards.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain high health and safety standards in the workshop.
• Support fleet uptime and operational performance targets.

HGV Technician

Location: Doncaster. Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days OR 4 on 4 off nights OR Mon - Fri nights. Pay Rate: Up to £24.00 per hour. Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

We are looking for experienced HGV Technicians to join the busy workshop team based in Doncaster, the site is operational 24/7 and workshop consists of three pits, hard standing bays, ramps, tacho bay and brake roller tester. The role would involve working on mainly Scania but also some work on Volvo, Merc, Daf, Renault, Iveco, MAN.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Complete inspections and safety checks to DVSA standards
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and accurately
• Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop
• Support fleet uptime and operational performance targets

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on HGVs and trailers
• Relevant qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (desirable)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards
