Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd in Tuxford is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a large, well-established operation in a modern workshop. You’ll service, maintain, inspect, diagnose and repair a mixed fleet of trucks and trailers to DVSA standards.

You’ll split time with around 70% trailer work and 30% truck work (Scania, Volvo, DAF), work day shifts or permanent nights, and enjoy a stable long-term opportunity with overtime and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or CV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Experience working on trucks and/or trailers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have the right to work in the UK - No sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on the fleet.
• Work on approx. 70% trailer maintenance and 30% on Scania, Volvo and DAF trucks.
• Identify faults and complete repairs to high standards, ensuring safety and DVSA compliance.
• Work with a skilled team in a large, modern workshop.

Salary: Up to £56,160 per annum + Overtime

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a large, well-established operation in Tuxford. Working within a modern, well-maintained workshop, you'll be part of a sizeable engineering team supporting a mixed fleet of trucks and trailers.

Job Description

As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to ensure the fleet remains compliant, roadworthy and operating efficiently. You'll work on a varied workload consisting of approximately 70% trailer maintenance and repair, predominantly on single-deck trailers, with the remaining 30% focused on Scania, Volvo and DAF trucks.

Working alongside a skilled team of technicians, you'll be expected to identify faults, complete repairs to a high standard and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company and DVSA standards.

The site is a 4 bay workshop with facilities that include including trailer ramps, MOT-specification equipment, air jacks, brake rollers, overhead cranes and multiple service bays.

Days/Afters Rotation

• 5:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 11:00pm
• 45 hours per week
• £24.00 per hour
• £56,160 per annum

Permanent Nights

• Monday to Friday
• 10:00pm - 6:00am
• 40 hours per week
• £27.00 per hour
• £56,160 per annum
