Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited is seeking an HGV Technician for a busy DN10 workshop. You will service and repair a mixed fleet of heavy goods vehicles and trailers, with a varied workload and modern facilities.

This role offers a Monday to Friday pattern, overtime with enhanced rates, and a twice-yearly profit-related bonus, plus opportunities to broaden skills and stay aligned with DVSA standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or time-served experience considered.
• IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential.
• Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a mixed fleet of HGVs and specialist trailers.
• Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
• Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
• Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA standards.

Location: DN10

Salary: £20.51 per hour (£48,000+ OTE with overtime)

Hours: Monday to Friday

• Week 1: 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Week 2: 11:00am – 7:00pm
• Saturday Overtime: 1 in 4 (minimum) | 7:00am – 11:00am | Paid at 1.5x
