Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for night shifts in Doncaster. You will maintain and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and safety. The role requires diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing, and preparing vehicles for MOTs.

Permanent, full-time position with 4 on/4 off nights and opportunities for training and development. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team, adhere to safety procedures, and

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred).
• Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
• Accurately complete all job cards and workshop documentation.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

HGV Technician (Nights)

Location: Doncaster

Salary: £49,100 per annum (£22.50 per hour)

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off | 18:00 - 06:30

Job Type: Permanent

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy, and operating to the highest standards.

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.

What We're Looking For

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred).
• Semi-skilled HGV Technicians with relevant workshop experience will also be considered.
• Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
