Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to cover Brentwood and surrounding areas. You will service and maintain a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles, performing diagnostics and running checks as part of daily duties.

Role includes pre-MOT checks, repairs, and work on tractor units and rigid vehicles, with a Monday to Friday daytime pattern. Company benefits include a van and fuel card, plus overtime at x1.5.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
• Fully skilled with industry recognised qualifications in heavy vehicle service.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
• Perform running defect corrections to full vehicle overhauls.
• Diagnostics and related tasks.
• Pre-MOT checks and repairs as required.
• Work on a modern fleet including tractor units and rigs.

My client, a market leading Heavy Commercial Fleet Maintainer with depots across the UK is actively seeking to employ a fully skilled and experienced HGV Technician to cover the Brentwood and surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• You will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
• Correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls
• Diagnostics and everything in between
• You will also be required to undertake pre-MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required
• You will be working on a modern fleet of commercial vehicles to include tractor units and rigid commercial vehicles

Requirements

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV's and trailers
• Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but no essential)
• The successful HGV Technician must be a fully skilled with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician
