Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established maintenance company at a Warrington depot. This full-time, permanent role offers training and clear career progression within a growing UK network.

Work includes servicing and repairing a modern fleet in a well-equipped workshop. NVQ/City & Guilds in heavies or time served are required, plus a full UK driving licence; HGV Class 1/2 is a bonus.

HGV Technician

Location: Warrington

Pay: £43,300

Hours: 7.30am-5.30pm M-F

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: 25 days holidays + bank holidays and plenty of overtime all paid at 1.5 X

About the Role

My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company with depots across the UK, is actively looking to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to be based out of a depot in the Warrington area. The role involves working on a full-time permanent basis on the company’s own fleet of vehicles, with excellent ongoing training and career progression opportunities as the company expands.

Duties

• Working in a purpose built, well equipped workshop, the successful HGV Mechanic will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service, maintenance and repair
• You will be working on a modern fleet of commercial vehicles to include tractor units (DAF & IVECO), rigid commercial vehicles and some vans (predominantly Iveco and Merc Sprinter)

Qualifications / Experience required

• In order to qualify for the role, the successful Technician will have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) in heavies or be time served
• You must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles
• Beneficial if you hold an HGV Class 1 or 2 Licence
• Hold a full UK driving Licence
