Job summary

Adler & Allan Ltd is seeking an HGV Tanker Driver for our Rainham depot. The role is permanent and full-time, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will work as part of a small team, perform site tankering tasks, jetting and drain cleaning, and support forecourt services across the region. Responsibilities include responding to call-outs, completing paperwork, liaising with customers, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Manual work cleaning site drainage and tank systems in line with EA guidelines.
• Operate in a one- or two-person team delivering site tankering, jetting and drain cleaning.
• Reliable HGV driver ready to work in a Rainham depot with regional travel.
• Willingness to liaise with customers on site about ongoing works and services.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a 1–2 person team to perform site tankering, jetting, drain cleaning, interceptor servicing.
• React to call-outs for critical issues and provide immediate response.
• Complete all works paperwork and submit to divisional supervision in a timely manner.
• Liaise with on-site supervision and customers about ongoing works and opportunities for improvements.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, PPE and tools are in good order.
• Report near misses and potential incidents; training will be provided.
• Undertake any other duties you are qualified for and capable of.

Operating from Rainham and travelling south of the UK, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

More about the role:

• Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations and distribution centres.
• Respond and react to call outs for critical issues.
• Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
