Job summary

Adler and Allan Ltd from Rainham is seeking an experienced HGV Tanker Driver to operate from Rainham and travel south of the UK. This permanent, full-time role runs Mon–Fri with 3–4 nights out per week and weekend overtime.

You will join a small team servicing major oil clients in forecourt services, performing tankering, jetting, drain cleaning, and ensuring compliance with EA guidelines. Benefits and pension are provided.

• Reliable HGV driver with a valid license.

• Team player able to work in small crews.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a two-person team performing site tankering, jetting and drain cleaning.
• Respond to call-outs for critical issues.
• Complete paperwork and submit to supervision.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in good order.
• Liaise with customers on site regarding works.
• Work to EA guidelines and regulations.
• Assist with reporting near misses.

Operating from Rainham and travelling south of the UK, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

More about the role:

• Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations and distribution centres.
• Respond and react to call outs for critical issues.
• Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
