Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking an HGV Driver (ADR or non-ADR) to operate from our Rainham depot as part of a small team. You will perform site tankering works, jetting and drain cleaning, interceptor servicing, and reactive drainage tasks for major clients and distribution sites.

Training will be provided, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. You will liaise with customers on site, maintain equipment, complete paperwork promptly, and report near misses or incidents.

  • Drainage experience not required; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform site tankering works, including jetting and drain cleaning, interceptor cleaning and servicing, and reactive works on petrol filling stations and large drainage sites.
  • Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting; in-house training will be provided.
  • Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and additional services.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, PPE and tools are in good order and available for use; inform supervision if any damage is identified.
  • Complete all works paperwork and submit to divisional supervision in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with supervision regarding works and opportunities for improvements.
  • Perform any other duties you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.

Operating from one of our Rainham depot, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

More about the role:

  • Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations, distribution centres and at large scale drainage infrastructure locations.
  • Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
  • Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
  • Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
  • Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
  • Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
Qualifications
