Job summary

Adler & Allan in Rainham is seeking an HGV Tanker Driver to join our site services team. This full-time role involves operating a tanker, responding to call-outs, and working as part of a small crew to service forecourts and distribution centres.

The job includes manual site work, training provided, and opportunities for overtime. We value reliability, safety, and a willingness to travel with 3–4 nights out weekly. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV licence with tankering experience.
• Willing to work nights out 3–4 nights per week.
• Able to perform manual cleaning tasks to EA guidelines/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a 1–2 person team to perform and deliver site tankering works including jetting and drain cleaning at petrol stations and distribution centres.
• Respond to call outs for critical issues.
• Carry out near-miss and incident reporting; in-house training provided.
• Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and further services.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, PPE and other work items are in good order and available for use.
• Complete all works paperwork and submit to supervision in a timely manner.
• Liaison with supervision regarding works and opportunities for improvements.
• Perform any other duties you are qualified for.

HGV Tanker Driver and site services - Rainham

• Full-time

HGV Tanker Driver
Brize Norton – With 3-4 nights out a week
Permanent, full-time - Mon - Fri
Competitive salary plus benefits
1.5x Overtime rate on weekends

Operating from Rainham and travelling south of the UK, you will be required to operate as part of a team, working alongside other Engineers, fulfilling works for major oil companies & independent customers in the Forecourt Services division. You will be required to contribute to ensuring systems are working correctly and identifying root causes and provide customers with long a term solution.

The duties of this position include a high degree of manual work required when cleaning site drainage and tank systems to ensure compliance with the EA Guidelines/regulations.

More about the role:

• Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on petrol filling stations and distribution centres.
• Respond and react to call outs for critical issues.
• Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
