HGV Paint Technician

Loughbourough

Our client, a prestigious Truck and Bus manufacturer and dealer, is seeking for a HGV Paint Technician to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be preparing and spraying large commercial vehicles to an exceptional standard and will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for producing high-quality paint finishes on a variety of commercial vehicles, ensuring durability and long-lasting results.

Role: HGV Paint Technician

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm; Friday 8am to 3:30pm

Location: Loughborough

Key responsibilities:

• Perform surface preparation, masking, priming, and painting of commercial vehicles.
• Mix and match paint to ensure colour accuracy and consistency.
• Inspect and identify defects in painted surfaces, making necessary corrections.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Requirements:

• You will possess a City & Guilds or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer or similar role.
• Have experience within HGV or PSV coach building
• Solid understanding of painting techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to match colours and achieve desired finishes.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a workshop environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
