Job summary

The Lanes Group Plc is seeking a skilled HGV Jetting Engineer for our Rainham Depot on a night shift (Sun–Thu, 22:00–06:00). You will operate high-pressure jetting gear, identify defects, assist CCTV investigations, and liaise with customers while updating electronic records. CPC preferred and a PC/laptop for data entry are used daily.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• CPC qualification desirable.
• Proficient with a laptop/tablet for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Identify defects and blockages within the sewer network.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear blockages in drains and sewers.
• Assist with remote CCTV investigations to assess underground pipe conditions.
• Liaise with customers regarding works and progress.
• Update electronic records and maintain accurate job logs.
• Report any safety issues and hazards to the supervisor.
• Carry out vehicle and jetting equipment checks as part of daily duties.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Jetting Engineer to join our Rainham Depot, this role involves identifying defects and blockages within the sewer network and using high pressure water jetting to clean and clear. The role is a Night shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am),

• You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacumation units.
• Assist with remote CCTV investigations where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Liaising with customers.
• Updating electronical records.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported.
• Vehicle and Jetting Equipment checks
• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry.
