Job summary

The Best Connection are looking for HGV Class 2 drivers to join our client based in Nursling. This role is on a temp to perm basis with potential for permanent status after a trial period. Shifts start early between 01:00 and 02:00, typically 8–10 hours, 4 days on and 2 days off, in the SO area delivering bread to customers.

Salary up to £18.50 per hour; on-site parking available. Requirements include 3–6 months Class 2 experience, Full Cat C Licence with CPC & Digi Card, and a professional,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver bread to customers across the SO area.
• Offload via tail lift into supermarket delivery area.
• Work on a 28-week rolling rota, 4 days on 2 days off.
• Early AM shifts starting 01:00–02:00 with 8–10 hour shifts.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Potential to move from temp to permanent contract.

The Best Connection are looking for HGV Class 2 drivers to join our client based in Nursling. Working for one of the UK's largest provider of Bread and other bakery products to customer. Drivers must have up to 3-6 months experience driving Class 2 vehicles. This role is ongoing with the potential to go full time with a contact.

Salary - up to £18.50 per hour

Location - Nursling, Southampton

Details of the role:

• Working on a temp to perm contract, Subject to passing trail period you will become a permanent member of staff
• The shifts are early AM start between 01:00am-02:00am, average working shift is 8-10 hrs
• This role is working on a 28-week rolling rota, working 4 days on and 2 days off
• Paying between £17.75-£18.50 per hour with an 8 hour minimum shift
• Overtime paid on weekends and bank holidays
• You will be delivering Bread to a variety of customers around the SO area
• All products are stacked in cages and offloaded via tail lift into the supermarket delivery area
• New passes welcome, with 3-6 months class 2 commercial driving experience
• Drivers must have good communication skills and be willing be to be flexible with finish times
• Vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Full Cat C Licence
• Valid CPC & Digi Card
• Class 2 experience driving rigid vehicles
