Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Class 2 driver for ongoing work based in Nursling, Southampton. You will work Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 6:00am, with Sunday and Monday off. Role includes home deliveries, a driver mate, and full training, with overtime opportunities.

Applicants should hold a Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, plus previous commercial driving experience and good numeracy/literacy. On-site parking is available.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (C) licence required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card mandatory.
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and reporting to management.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle, delivering around the South area.
• Work Tuesday to Saturday with Sunday and Monday off.
• Complete roughly 6–8 drops per shift.
• Be accompanied by a driver's mate.
• Follow routes and schedules and perform vehicle checks.

CLASS 2 DRIVER WANTED - NURSLING

Pay Rate: £18.25 / £27.37 per hour

Location: Nursling, Southampton

Start Time: 06:00am

Job Type: Ongoing / Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting Class 2 drivers to join our client based in Nursling, Southampton. This role is an ongoing / full time with the potential to go permanent with a contract. Working Tuesday to Saturday. Guaranteed Sunday and Monday's off.

The Role

• Shift starting at 6am, working Tuesday to Saturday
• Driving a class 2 vehicle, doing home deliveries around the South area
• Doing roughly 6-8 drops
• You will be accompanied by a drivers mate
• Following delivery routes and schedules
• Completing all deliveries safely and efficiently
• Vehicle checks before and after each shift

What You'll Need

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tacho Card
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Excellent communication and reporting any issues to management
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Reliable and professional attitude
