Job summary

Ipsum Utilities Limited is seeking an HGV Driver & Operator to operate jetting units for drainage maintenance, respond to emergency callouts and conduct CCTV surveys. You will work closely with customers and colleagues to report findings and recommend solutions while ensuring all work complies with safety standards.

The role requires relevant licences and certifications, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team across varied shifts, including

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• High Pressure Water Jetting certification.
• Confined Space Entry certification.
• Experience in drainage maintenance and jetting operations.
• Familiarity with CCTV survey equipment & software.
• Strong understanding of H&S practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV jetting units for drainage cleaning and maintenance.
• Respond to emergency callouts and support planned maintenance.
• Conduct CCTV drainage surveys to identify defects.
• Report findings and recommend solutions to customers/clients.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
• Carry out routine vehicle and equipment checks.

Job description

As an HGV Driver & Operator, you'll be responsible for: Operating HGV jetting units to carry out drainage cleaning and maintenance activities Responding to emergency callouts and supporting planned maintenance activity Conducting CCTV drainage surveys to identify defects Working closely with customers, clients and colleagues to report findings and recommend solutions Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company and industry standards Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used Carrying out routing vehicle and equipment checks.

Ideally, you'll bring previous experience in a similar role, a positive attitude and a commitment to working safely, as well as: A valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Licence High Pressure Water Jetting certification Confined Space Entry certification Previous experience in drainage maintenance and jetting operations Familiarity with CCTV survey equipment & software Good understanding of H&S practices Problem solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills and customer service skills Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

You'll play a key role in delivering essential drainage maintenance services that help keep communities and infrastructure running smoothly.
