Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to join an established logistics business based in Widnes. You will transport processed wood to power plants across the north of England using walking floor trailers and complete all delivery paperwork accurately.

New passes welcome. A CPC and tachograph are required, with no more than 6 points on the licence. This is a full-time role with flexible night shifts averaging 10–15 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence; new passes welcome.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• No more than 6 points; no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT on licence.

Responsibilities

• Transporting processed wood to power plants using walking floor trailers.
• Completing all delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintaining safe and professional driving standards at all times.

What's on offer?

• Full-time position - ongoing work 12 months a year
• Night shift opportunity - shifts averaging 10-15 hours
• Paid at £20.17 to £22.41 per hour - dependent on day of week

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Transporting processed wood to power plants using walking floor trailers
• Completing all delivery paperwork accurately
• Maintaining safe and professional driving standards at all times

To be considered as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence - new pass drivers welcome
• A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsement codes
