Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV drivers for immediate starts in the Warrington area. Roles involve trunking to distribution centres with minimal collections and no handball, delivering to time windows with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E licence and valid Digi Tacho and CPC cards.
• Maximum 6 points on licence endorsed for minor offences.
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD and Drivers Hours).
• Good national geographical awareness is required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safe working practices to ensure safety of self and others.
• Secure loads to minimise damage.
• Provide excellent customer service on delivery and take ownership of issues.
• Deliver within delivery windows and drive safely as an HGV1 vehicle.
• Report any vehicle defects to Transport Office.
• Demonstrate strong customer-facing skills and reliability.
• Maintain punctuality and ability to work unsupervised.

Salary Range (holiday inclusive):

• Monday to Thursday - AM: £16.81 | PM: £17.37 | Night: £18.16
• Friday - AM: £17.73| PM: £17.93 | Night: £19.05
• Saturday - AM: £17.93 | PM: 18.49 | Night: £19.61
• Sunday - AM: £18.22 | PM: £19.05 | Night: £19.95

Duties:

• Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• HGV1 drivers must carry out deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
• Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised
• Possess an Enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first class customer service
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
