Job summary

Veolia is seeking a HGV 2 Driver/Loader at Ross Depot, Folkestone. You will drive to collection points and load waste, performing daily vehicle checks and recording notes via onboard systems.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 2 licence, up-to-date CPC/DIGI, and demonstrate strong teamwork and time management skills. This full-time role offers a structured schedule and Veolia benefits.

• Drive to planned collection locations and load recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.

HGV 2 Driver / Loader

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30

Location: Ross Depot, Military Road, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3SP

Pay: £36,917.24 Annually, plus Veolia benefits

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and loading recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use the onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation and ensure their work environment is safe and clean at all times.
• Working closely with your team to ensure that all-round information is completed daily from your onboard service.
• Ensuring that Veolia complies with their contractual obligations e.g. any spillages are cleaned up.

What we’re looking for;

Essential:

• Class 2 Driving Licence
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work well as a team member, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong time management skills are essential

Desirable:

• Local geographical knowledge is highly desirable
• Prior Experience in the waste industry
