Job summary

Veolia UK is seeking a Tail Lift driver with RCV cover in Exeter to join our waste services team. This full‑time role is 48 hours a week, Monday to Friday, starting at 06:00, with occasional weekend work.

You will drive, perform vehicle checks, log defects, maintain daily logs, and ensure compliance with traffic laws and Veolia's H&S policies. A Class 2 licence and CPC/Digi card are essential, with additional waste-management experience desirable.

Qualifications

• Essential: Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Essential: Up to date CPC / Digi card.
• Desirable: A can do attitude and strong time management skills.
• Desirable: Previous experience in Waste Management.

Responsibilities

• Driving and carrying out collections following Veolia procedures.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle and recording defects as required.
• Ensuring all daily logs are kept up to date.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation.
• Follow all Veolia H&S Policies and procedures.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes, so you're always on the go.
