Job summary

Veolia is recruiting a Driver for Gerrards Cross, offering £43,023.22 per year plus benefits. The role requires a 48-hour week with early starts around 02:00–04:00, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

A Class 2 (Cat C) licence and CPC Digi/Tachograph are essential; RoRo/Skip/Dustcart experience is a plus. Veolia provides a pension scheme and progressive, inclusive opportunities across our service areas.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date CPC Digi / Tachograph Card.
• Desirable RoRo/Skip/Dustcart experience.
• Experience in Waste Management.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and empty waste containers.
• Lift bins of various weights and sizes.
• Complete daily vehicle checks as per driver handbook.
• Input information into onboard system and submit paperwork daily.
• Comply with traffic laws and ensure loads are secure.

Varied start times between 02:00 - 04:00 am. Finishing times may vary on occasion, so some flexibility is required. Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work required. What you’ll be doing

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

What we’re looking for

• Essential Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Up to date CPC Digi / Tachograph Card
• Desirable Roro, Skip and Dustcart experience would be a distinct advantage
• Experience in Waste Management
