Job summary

Bullet Express in Bothwell is recruiting for a Class 2 Delivery Driver. You will be responsible for scheduled palletised deliveries to retail stores, operating a tail lift and pallet truck, and ensuring deliveries reach the correct loading area safely and efficiently.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, digital tachograph card, and prior class 2 experience. You will work Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week, with start times from 05:00 or 07:00 depending on day.

Qualifications

• A valid Category C / Class 2 driving licence.

• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Experience with tail-lift and pallet-truck deliveries would be advantageous.
• A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled deliveries to retail stores.
• Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.
• Delivering palletised goods using a tail lift and pallet truck.
• Positioning deliveries as close to the store delivery point as safely possible.
• Accessing store loading bays, service yards and designated loading areas where required.
• Ensuring pallets are unloaded safely and left in the agreed delivery location.
• Completing all required delivery paperwork and electronic PODs accurately.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly.
• Communicating with the transport team regarding delays, access issues or other delivery problems.

• Representing Bullet Express professionally while on customer sites.

Bullet Express is looking for an experienced and reliable Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join our team at Bothwell, working on a dedicated retail delivery contract.

This is a Monday to Friday position, carrying out scheduled palletised deliveries to retail stores.

The role involves delivering goods as close to the store delivery point as safely and practically possible using a tail lift and pallet truck. Depending on the individual store, this may involve accessing loading bays, service yards or designated loading areas.

There is no requirement to enter the retail store, handball individual goods or split down pallets.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out scheduled deliveries to retail stores.

Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.

Important – What This Role Does NOT Involve

We want candidates to have a clear understanding of the role before applying.

This position does not involve:

Entering or delivering goods into the retail shop itself.

Handballing individual items or boxes.

Breaking down or splitting pallets.

Replenishing stock or putting goods onto shelves.

Your responsibility is to safely deliver the palletised goods to the agreed delivery/loading area using the vehicle's tail lift and a pallet truck.

Working Hours

This is a 50-hour-per-week, Monday-to-Friday position.

Your normal start times will be:

Due to the nature of transport and retail deliveries, some flexibility may occasionally be required depending on traffic, delivery schedules and operational requirements.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate should have:

A valid Category C / Class 2 driving licence.

Valid Driver CPC.

Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Previous Class 2 driving experience.

Experience with tail-lift and pallet-truck deliveries would be advantageous.

A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations.

A strong focus on Health & Safety.

The confidence to safely manoeuvre a Class 2 vehicle into loading bays and delivery areas.

A professional and customer-focused approach.

A reliable and punctual attitude.

The ability to work independently and manage your delivery schedule effectively.
