Job summary

Manpower is recruiting for a reliable Class 2 Driver to join a leading UK logistics and distribution organisation in the Preston area. The role offers a variety of shifts, a competitive hourly rate, and the opportunity to be part of a nationwide operation.

Applicants should have a UK Cat C licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with up to 6 points. 1 year of Class 2 experience is preferred, with strong time management and a professional, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

Class 2 Driver
Location: Preston, PR2 9GG
Hourly Rate: £20.09 - £23.22 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

• Valid UK Cat C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 years previous Class 2 driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 21 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
