Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a skilled HGV Driver Plant and MEWP Load/Unload to ensure timely collection and deliveries to customer sites and to meet customer expectations. The role requires loading/unloading heavy equipment and complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will hold a Category C license with limited points, a valid CPC, and a tachograph card, with proven HGV driving experience and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category C - with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certification is required.
• Tachograph card must be held.
• Demonstrable HGV driver experience.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience (desirable).
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).
• FORS compliant (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys, and safe loading/unloading of loads.
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant.
• Visiting customer locations and communicating with internal and external customers.
• Adhering to legal and company safety requirements and working time directives at all times.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
