Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled HGV Driver Plant and MEWP Load/Unload to join our team, delivering to customer sites and managing loads safely. The role is currently based in Barking but will relocate to Brentwood within the year.

You will operate commercial vehicles, ensure roadworthiness, load/unload heavy equipment, and liaise with customers while adhering to safety rules and Working Time regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat C driving license with max 6 points.
• CPC certification required.
• Tachograph card required.
• Proven HGV driving experience.
• Safety-focused and customer-friendly.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods using commercial vehicles.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness before trips.
• Load and unload rental equipment including heavy plant.
• Visit customer sites and liaise with customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety rules and Working Time Directive.

About The Role

This role will currently be located in Barking, however will be relocating to Brentwood within the year

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented HGV Driver Plant and MEWP Load/ Unload to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time

About You

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of driving license category C – with no more than 6 points
• CPC Certified
• Tachograph card
• Demonstrable HGV Driver experience
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable)
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable)
• FORS compliant (desirable)
