Job summary

Evri is seeking a Class 1 HGV driver in Glasgow operating on a permanent contract with 45 hours per week. The role involves night trunking to regional hubs, driving a modern Volvo fleet, and home after each 9-hour shift.

You will inspect vehicles daily, handle scanning and pallet movements, and benefit from a comprehensive package including generous annual leave and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence required at minimum.
• Driver CPC qualification card needed.
• Complete required DCPC training hours or be working toward them.
• Excellent knowledge of road transport laws and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles (under 4 years old) to regional hubs.
• Trunk goods to regional hubs on night shifts and be home after each 9-hour shift.
• Scan consignments and drive pallet trucks as needed during the day.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and submit a defect report if necessary.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes.This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time.At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
